Audi teases next-gen A6 - Production to start by end of 2010

. Thursday, November 4, 2010

We posted the photo seen above to our Facebook wall yesterday as nothing more than a teaser of the new Audi A6. The picture's popularity however, was enough to make us expand here on quattroholic.com. Two photos were released by Audi showcasing the new models produced at the company's Neckarsulm facility in 2010. In addition to the R8 Spyder, A8, A8 L and A7, Audi lists the next-generation A6 as a new model to be produced at the facility in 2010. That's right folks, we can look for new A6 production to begin by the end of the year!

We took the liberty of dissecting the two teaser photos in the hopes that something could have been mistakenly revealed. From what we can see, the white sheet does its job quite well, unfortunately hiding any juicy new lines. Maybe you can spot something we didn't.

Here are the captions Audi included with the photos:

"2010 is the year of production starts for the Neckarsulm site: In addition to the Audi R8 Spyder, A8, A8 L and A7 Sportback, production of the new Audi A6 is also scheduled to start this year."

"2010 – A year of production starts: Albrecht Reimold, Plant Manager Audi Neckarsulm, with the five models launched at the site: R8 Spyder, A8, A8L, A7 Sportback and one model still under wraps (A6 successor)"
