Audi to co-star in new 'Transporter' TV-series

. Thursday, July 7, 2011

A new television series based on Luc Besson's "Transporter" movies is planned to launch next year. Like the last two films, Audi has confirmed that the Transporter's car of choice will again wear four rings (likely a new Audi A8, as seen in the photo). Unlike the films however, the series will not include Jason Statham but instead stars British actor, Chris Vance in the lead role of Frank Martin.

Making sure the TV adaptation holds true to the original style of the films, Luc Besson will be producing the series with Stephen Williams of 'Lost' directing the pilot episode. So far, this sounds pretty promising; and more than anything, we're happy to hear that Audi will be "co-starring." Look for the series to debut in 2012 with twelve 52-minute episodes airing in the U.S. on Cinemax.
