MTM introduces Audi A1 tuning program

. Friday, December 10, 2010

The folks at MTM have revealed their latest Audi tuning program. Veering from previous projects designed to make fast cars even faster; MTM's new Audi A1 tuning program makes a not-so-fast car, just a little bit quicker. Adding 30 horses to the A1's 1.4-liter TFSI, the MTM A1 boasts 152 horsepower, 173 ft-lbs of torque and a revised top speed of 138 mph. Full details and more photos after the jump.

Under the hood, the 1.4 TFSI's 30 extra horses are found thanks to MTM's M-Cantronic ECU programming in conjunction with a V-Cantronic program (which is used to remove the A1's stock top speed limiter). Though currently not available, MTM also plans to offer a sport exhaust system for the A1 soon.

In addition to the added power, the MTM Audi A1 features 18" MTM Bimoto wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 rubber, an MTM A1 design kit, and lowered suspension. MTM notes that an F-Cantronic air suspension system will soon be available in addition to the current spring unit.
