2010 MTM Audi RS6 Clubsport: 730+ hp weekend racer revealed

. Tuesday, May 11, 2010

The folks at MTM have officially revealed their latest four-ringed creation, the MTM RS6 Clubsport. We posted images of this car last month, however at the time, we had no idea what was under the hood. The MTM RS6 Clubsport boasts more than 730 horsepower from it's 5.0 TFSI V10 Biturbo and has gone on a serious diet (weighing just under 2 tons), resulting in a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) time of 3.6 seconds and a proposed top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).

The MTM RS6 Clubsport carries one mantra: "less weight and much more power." The added power is thanks to a modified ECU, MTM stainless steel exhaust system (including catalyst and rear silencer, 4-80mm pipes, 2 with throttle valves and control system), high-rev gearing and some "technical finesse." Matched to a 6-speed tiptronic transmission with DSP, the MTM RS6 Clubsport makes over 730 horsepower and 634 lb-ft of torque from the 5.0-liter Biturbo V10.

In the handling/braking department, the MTM RS6 Clubsport features an MTM height adjustable suspension kit (10 to 45 mm lowering), optional MTM high power brake system with 405 x 36 mm disks and 6 piston Brembo monobloc calipers and an available MTM updated front axle geometry. Rounding out the package, the Clubsport sits on 20" or 21" BIMOTO wheels wearing Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 rubber.

Making sure no one confuses the MTM RS6 Clubsport from the 'everyday' 571hp Audi RS6 - MTM has equipped the car with a carbon diffuser, a discreet carbon front spoiler lip, full roll cage, RECARO bucket seats with 6-point harnesses and ditched the back seats. All told, enough to make that weekend trip to the Nurburgring just a little more exciting.
