Is the Audi RS5 coming to the USA? - We say "yes"

We're sure you were just as excited as we were to finally see official images and specifications for the Audi RS5. However, for those of us living between sea and shining sea, one question still remains. Is the Audi RS5 coming to America? We say "yes" - here's why.

Granted, we do not have any inside intel nor have we spoke to anyone from Audi concerning the RS5 coming to the USA - but we have read between the lines (literally).

In bold red letters, the U.S. press release for the Audi RS5 states "Please note, there is no information regarding U.S. availability of the RS 5 at this time." To put this in perspective, the U.S. press release for the Audi RS6 Plus states "Please note, the Audi RS 6 is not planned for U.S. launch."

As far as we're concerned, there's a big difference between "not planned" and "no information at this time." Leading us to believe that if Audi had no plans on bringing the RS5 stateside, they would have made this clear up-front. That said, we're keeping our fingers tightly crossed and will continue sleuthing until we have a definitive answer.
