Audi RS5: First official brochure photos leaked

. Sunday, February 21, 2010

We knew it was only a matter of time until official photos of the all-new, highly anticipated Audi RS5 would leak out. A full marketing brochure of the RS5 was inadvertently posted by Recom (the agency in charge of creating the brochure) to the company's website as part of their portfolio. We have the full gallery along with our opinion and other details after the jump.

After seeing these images for the first time, we absolutely love the visual details of this car. The RS5's intimidatingly larger front air inlets, muscular fender flares and ground effects make certain that this car carries a RennSport designation before you ever see the badge.

There is still a thin shroud of mystery over the RS5's powerplant; though a high reving, 450 horsepower, 4.2 liter naturally aspirated V8 is most likely under the hood. Taking note of the tachometer, Fourtitude points out that only two engines rev as high as the photo shows, both of which are found in the Audi R8.

Now that "the cat is out of bag," we imagine that official RS5 images and specifications from Audi should hit the web in the very near future, followed by an official world debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
