MTM Tunes Audi TT-RS to 424hp

. Monday, November 9, 2009

MTM, is one of - if not the most bad-ass Audi tuner out there. It's only fitting then that such a tuner take on one of Audi's most bad-ass coupes to date, the TT-RS.

Starting with an already powerful, 2.5-liter five cylinder, producing 340 horsepower and 331 lb/ft of torque - MTM had a already potent powerplant to work with. Thanks to performance modifications such as an extensive ECU reconfiguration, MTM middle and rear silencer with exhaust throttle valve and downpipe with metal catalysts, MTM managed to squeeze an extra 84 hp from the five-banger. Bringing max horsepower to 424 hp and torque to 412 lb/ft. Customers with a lighter right foot may opt for 402 or 408 hp versions if so inclined.

In addition to the engine upgrades, the MTM Audi TT-RS is equipped with 19 or 20-inch bimoto wheels and upgraded brakes. Optionally, MTM offers a custom handmade cat-back exhaust to round out the package.

When equipped with the 424 horsepower package, the MTM Audi TT-RS will reach a top speed of 181 mph (292 km/h).

Pricing starts at 1,900.00 EUR for the 402hp package, 4,698.00 EUR for the 408 hp, and 8,586.00 EUR for the 424 hp.
