Audi R8 Spider Spied During Filming of Iron Man 2

The spy photographers at Auto Express managed to capture some great photos of one of the lesser known stars of Iron Man 2, the Audi R8 Spider. Photos clearly show Robert Downey Jr. driving the new R8 Spider.

Following the R8 coupe's roll in the first Iron Man installment, it appears that Tony Stark has upgraded to the new, highly anticipated drop top version of Audi's flagship sports car. Look for the Audi R8 spider to hit 62 mph from a stand-still in 4.1 seconds, topping out at 180 mph.

The neck-snapping performance is thanks to the 525 horsepower, 5.2 liter V10 currently found in the Audi R8 V10 coupe. Look for the Audi R8 Spider to makes it's world debut this September at the Frankfurt Auto Show.
