. Thursday, September 9, 2010

Australian tuner, RENM Performance has introduced a host of new upgrades for the Audi R8 in a concept aptly named, Enigma. Offering programs for both the 4.2 V8 and 5.2 V10 variations of the R8, RENM's upgrades range from 450 to nearly 600 horsepower. Not to mention a supercharger kit for the 4.2 V8 that when combined with other engine upgrades, increases total output to very impressive 522 horsepower.

In V8 form, the RENM R8 Enigma includes an ECU re-calibration, carbon fiber air intake and performance exhaust increasing peak power to 453 hp (and 522 hp with the help of the optional supercharger kit). For the 5.2 V10, a simple ECU tune unlocks 557 hp and the addition of high-flow sports air filters and performance exhaust system raises peak power to 592 hp. Rounding out the package are updated 8 piston front/6 piston rear brakes and optional race suspension kits or race hydraulic lift systems.

Cosmetic upgrades of the RENM R8 Enigma program include 20" lightweight carbon fiber/forged wheels, optional carbon fiber front lip and rear diffuser, carbon fiber/alacantara steering wheel and carbon fiber interior accents.
