Audi R8 Project "Militar" and Audi Q7 Project "Panzerjäger" by SR Auto Group

. Thursday, August 12, 2010

We have to say, SR Auto Group has quickly become one of our favorite tuning firms. Based in Vancouver, Canada, SR is known for stretching the limits of imagination with projects based on a wide variety of luxury and exotic vehicles. We were particularly smitten with SR's Project "Valkyrie" which we featured in June and have been eagerly awaiting a new Audi project ever since. SR has now revealed two new Audi creations; the Audi R8 Project "Militar" and Audi Q7 Project "Panzerjäger."

Adorned in matching satin finish "Militar Grey" paint, both the Militar R8 and Panzerjäger Q7 express SR's new military inspired theme. Our interpretation would be the R8 representing a stealth fighter jet and Q7 a tank. In fact, as it's name implies, the SR Audi Q7 Project Panzerjäger was inspired by the WWII German tank destroyer Panzerjäger Tiger (P) Elefant, which ironically was manufactured by Audi's cousin-firm, Porsche AG.

The SR Audi Q7 Panzerjäger's exterior modifications include a PPI ICE carbon fiber wide body aero package, satin frost tail light conversion and HID Xenon dual fog lamp system. Performance enhancements include a PPI exhaust system and yellow Brembo Gran Turismo brakes (6 piston front, 4 piston rear). Rounding out the project are Agetro V500 22" x 10" wheels with matte black faces and gloss black lips. We're told future enhancements to Project Panzerjäger will include a PPI byplane spoiler and PPI carbon fiber interior.

As for the Audi R8 Militar, exterior modifications include PPI Razor dry carbon front bumper, front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser, front grille, front intake grille inserts and a custom dry carbon side blade overlay. Performance enhancements include a Miltek exhaust system, ECM upgrade and H&R lowering springs. Like the Panzerjäger, the Militar R8 also features Agetro wheels, with M140 20 x 8.5 front and 20 x 11 rear, each finished in satin black.
